The TSS Earnslaw has plied Lake Wakatipu since the 1920's. It was built in the same year as the Titanic, and one the oldest steamships still in regaular commercial operation anywhere in the world. Finished in brass, and polished wood, the old steamer is fuelled by two stokers shovelling coal into here boilers. A trip across the lake on this beautiful old lady is a must for visitors to the region.
